Checklist of what to pack for a Master in London

Packing to follow my dreams

I told you my short story in a different post and what I want to tell you now is what I packed in my suitcase before moving from Frankfurt and finding a new place to call home in London.

Between tears and boreoarctic issues to solve with the job I quitted to start a master I started packing clothes and everything I needed to start my master in London.

I put everything in one medium size and one small size suitcase.

This is my check list
  •   Beddings (one set)
  •   Towels (big shower towel, one medium, one small face towel)
  •   5 dresses (business and casual)
  •   3 pairs of jeans
  •   2 pairs of business pants
  •   One flower skirt
  •   2 pullovers
  •   5 t-shirts
  •   5 fancy tops
  •   3 button shirts
  •   2 pairs of high heels
  •   1 pair ballerinas
  •   1 pair snickers
  •   2 pairs everyday Chelsea boots
  •   All my underwear
  •   All my sucks
  •   2 pyjamas (one short sleeves and one long)
  •  Medicines (allergies pills and some pain killer)

I didnt bring:
  •    Toiletries
  •    Extra home wear
  •    Yoga pants
  •    Super high heels
  •    Too fancy clothes
  •    Extra beddings

All of them I could easily buy in London whenever I needed them and at a cheaper price than the airline fee for extra luggage

My boyfriend came a few days after me and with some extra underwear that were still washing in the laundry machine, he brought a pin board with pictures to make my room a more comfy place where to spend my time in London.

I also bought books on internet and ship them to the school address.

Dont forget, everywhere you will find toiletries to buy and in case you dont have specific allergies dont bring with you all your food.

There is no reason to pay for extra luggage fee if you can buy something in your new destination, be flexible ;)

I hope this check list can be useful to anyone who would like to start a new adventure abroad.
