Mom I don ’ t wanna lay on the couch all day! December 2014: Graduation from my bachelor program January 2015: I was extremely bored and I saw nothing good coming to me before the beginning of a master the following September This was my time line, being bored doing nothing until the new courses would have actually started. I am not that kind of person that lays on the couch all day, eating mom ’ s food, and using mom ’ s money. For this reasons I started checking what I could do to make a good use out of this huge amount of spare time Looking at all kinds of job offers and internships I ’ ve been suggested from my sister to try to find an Au-Pair job somewhere in Europe, so that I could learn a new language, and considering I already knew English it would have been an easy choice. My short story

I lived most of my life in Alghero, Sardinia, Italy! Yes, an island in the middle of the Mediterranean. It is super cool and living 3 minutes walking from the sea definitely made my childhood special. Travelling has always been inside me and my first big trip was in the US during an exchange program of one year. During this time, I lived in 2 different American families (it was required from the program to change family) and travel all over the US in one month bus road trip. The big challenging trip is the one that has been keeping me outside of home for more than 2 years already and it seems not bringing me back. I went to Germany, in Frankfurt as an Au-Pair pushed to learn a new language, discover a new culture and meet new people. When my Au-Pair time was over, I decided to stay to improve the little German I learned.
